Holistic psychotherapy and counselling

Holistic Psychotherapy can be considered both an art and a science. In essence, it is a process of transformation, distilling meaning from within our underlying issues and past experiences, bringing  greater understanding and clarity in the present.

I work in a non- diagnostic, non-prescriptive manner, recognising each person as a multi-faceted unique being.  My holistic perspective allows a respect and engagement with all aspects of a person, moving away from fixing symptoms, to see beyond the limitations of the everyday mind. I support each person to meet their challenges, access their inner resources and create healthier relationships with themselves, others and the world.

Sometimes simply having someone to talk to can help with everyday stressful situations, specific issues and life transitions. I offer support and encouragement to help identify problems, process outdated beliefs, reduce bodily tensions and allow a sense of moving forward in life.

Through exploration and the growing of awareness, we can learn to listen to our own deeper wisdom and inner guidance. It can take time, space and trust to get to know ourselves beyond our familiar identity and to explore aspects of ourselves that may feel vulnerable, unknown or scary; I offer a compassionate safe space to hold and facilitate this journey.

A session may also include befriending the nervous system, exploring dreams, body experiences and aspirations, as well as investigating relationships, inner critical and protective parts and reflecting on your life path.
